Complete Dentures

When teeth can’t be saved, complete dentures are an option. They replace all upper or lower teeth. Dentures are about 40% as efficient as natural teeth in chewing. They are the last choice to replace teeth, as many patients find that they aren’t an ideal option. One option that makes complete dentures more functional and tolerable is to have them supported by implants. Ask Dr. Wright for more information if you find your dentures loose or uncomfortable.

Remember, just because you have or need dentures doesn’t mean you’re done going to the dentist. On average, dentures need to be relined about every two to three  years and replaced every eight years. Dr. Wright will evaluate the soft tissues that support your dentures and do an oral cancer screening during your examinations. We’ll also do a heavy-duty denture cleaning.
